Information we process
Vowlight processes account names, email addresses, event settings, upload status, payment status, and necessary security records. We may store irreversible hashes of IP and browser information to prevent abuse.
First-party conversion records
When you actively use create, preview, or pricing buttons, we record the page, language, source parameters, and a random identifier held only in memory for the current page session. We use it for an aggregated, de-identified funnel and do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or a persistent browser identifier.
Where photos and videos go
Guest files use Google Drive resumable uploads and go directly into the host's connected Drive. Vowlight does not create another permanent media copy; it keeps only filenames, sizes, Drive file identifiers, and management status.
Service providers
Google provides Drive storage; Paddle acts as merchant of record for primary payments, applicable taxes, and receipts, while Stripe, PayPal, or OneLink may process payments where enabled; Resend delivers transactional email. Each provider handles required data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Retention, deletion, and your rights
Deleting an event immediately closes uploads and removes it from the workspace, guest page, and live wall. Event settings, upload filenames and status, Drive file identifiers, guest messages, and event abuse-prevention records are retained for 30 days and then permanently removed by a scheduled purge. Account deletion removes login, Drive authorization, and event operational data and de-identifies the account. To prevent accidental loss, neither event nor account deletion removes files in Google Drive. Payment and minimal audit records are retained only for the period needed for accounting, refunds, disputes, security, or legal obligations.
Guest photo removal requests
The event host controls the connected Google Drive and can usually remove a file fastest. Guests may contact the host first, or provide the event name and file details to Vowlight support so we can help route the request or address related service records.
